except for a few "blockbuster" releases every year, 3D clearly ain't going nowhere. wide-gamut (Rec2020) is actually becoming a lot more useful than 3D, which was The Big Thing! two NAB's ago. Talking with both the PrPro staffers at NAB, and others there. The filed bug reports get distributed in some tabulated format to all managerial types, both above the Program Manager (for PrPro, since late April that's been Patrick Palmer, who replaced Al Mooney) and to the various section managers of the engineering team. I imagine as HLG is more widely implemented this will prove a common issue and eat up a lot of Adobe tech support time. ![]() I believe Premiere Pro will want to be able to handle HLG footage natively moving forward, so I'm bringing this bug to light now. I connected with Adobe support via the chat feature yesterday, and the Adobe tech was able to take over my computer and use Handbrake to render the HLG footage perfectly. I also recorded a test using Cine 4 to see if there were any issues with another Picture Profile after the update, but the Cine 4 footage played back and rendered beautifully. I've had no issues editing the FS5's XAVC-L 1080p or UHD files. ![]() My laptop has 16gb of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 770M graphics card, and Windows 10. In playback and in rendering there are green flashes at random throughout the footage. ![]() I installed, went to the back yard, and attempted a test on the HLG to see how the new Picture Profile performed. The Sony FS5 just released Firmware 4.0 yesterday.
